POCATELLO, Idaho (AP) — A 22-year-old Idaho Falls man has been charged with felony vehicular homicide and aggravated driving while intoxicated in connection with a Pocatello car crash that killed 24-year-old Angie Large.

Cody McDermott-Reid was arraigned on the charges Wednesday. Pocatello Police Lt. Jim Peterson says McDermott-Reid was driving at a high rate of speed before he lost control and the vehicle rolled. Large was thrown from the car and pinned underneath it; she died at the scene.

A second passenger was taken to Portneuf Medical Center with what appeared to be multiple pelvis fractures, but first responders said the injury wasn't believed to be life threatening. McDermott-Reid was also hospitalized for a neck injury before he was transferred to the Bannock County Jail.
