IDAHO FALLS, Idaho (AP) — A jury has found a 23-year-old Idaho Falls man guilty of felony injury to a child in connection with his 2-month-old son's severe brain injury.

The Post Register reported the jury handed down the verdict against Brad V. Zsadanyi on Thursday.

Zsadanyi said that the baby's head had bounced off his chest when he accidentally fell while trying to sit on a mattress, and said he rocked the baby and nuzzled his head after the fall.

But prosecutors said the evidence showed nonaccidental, inflicted, intentional trauma to the child.
