Boise man accidentally sent teen text about ecstasy, police say

MERIDIAN, Idaho (KBOI) - Police in Meridian say a 21-year-old man accidentally sent a local junior high student a text message asking whether they wanted to purchase some ecstasy pills.
Meridian Police says Alexander Casper of Boise has been booked into the Ada County Sheriff's Office on felony charges of delivery of a controlled substance.
Casper allegedly sent the student a text message about the drugs, which appears to have been sent by mistake, officials say. The 13-year-old student showed the text to the school student resource officer.
The student resource officer contacted members of the Meridian Impact Team, who contacted Casper, first by text and then through telephone calls.
MPD says Casper brought 15 capsules of ecstasy to an undercover officer at about 9:45 p.m. Wednesday at a local convenience store.
