Medical examiner: Body of missing woman was wrongly identified

BOISE, Idaho (KBOI) -- The National Parks Service says the body of a missing Boise woman found at Craters of the Moon National Monument was incorrectly identified Wednesday.

Officials say a medical examiner investigated the body and determined through dental records that it is Amy Linkert, 70, and not Dr. Jo Elliot-Blakeslee, 63, as previously reported.

A family member of Elliot-Blakeslee tells KBOI 2News he has no comment on the development.

Officials say the search continues Saturday for Elliot-Blakeslee with more than 50 searchers, including eight dog teams and a crew of 21 firefighters.
