BOISE, Idaho (KBOI) - Sunshine the last few weeks is crating conditions more akin to April than January up at Bogus Basin. It's a nice escape from the Treasure Valley cold but it's melting a lot of snow.

Both Wildcat and Lower Paradise have been closed because too much dirt and rock is showing on the runs. But that still leaves over 90 percent of the mountain open and there are still plenty of great runs.

A lot of off trail runs are a little more risky than usual because there is plenty of brush that still needs more snow to bury it. The snow is thin in places but if you stick to the groomed runs it's good.
