Go out last night? Police need info on downtown stabbing

BOISE, Idaho (KBOI) - Two men out on New Year's Eve were stabbed after a fight with two other men near the Capital building.

Boise Police says at about 1:45 a.m. officers found two men who told them they had just been in a fight. One of them suffered serious injuries, while the other suffered non-life threatening injuries.

Both victims were transported to a local hospital for immediate medical attention. Detectives believe that alcohol may have been a factor in this case.

According to the victims, the men began arguing just prior to the stabbing in the area of 8th St and Bannock Street. A foot chase between all four men took place in the area of the Capital building on Jefferson Street. The males confronted each other in the park, just South of the Capital building and the physical fight began.

Suspect descriptions:

A light skinned male wearing a black beanie style hat and a possible dark hoodie jacket with an average build.

The other male is described as a light skinned adult with no clothing description and an average build.
