BOISE, Idaho (KBOI) - Boise Police are investigating an incident involving four shots being fired into a door of a junior high school overnight Wednesday, and if it is connected to another report of a shot fired in the same area Thursday afternoon that caused two schools to be placed on lockdown.

Police say someone stood at the edge of the parking lot at Les Bois Junior High just after midnight and fired four shots from a .22 caliber handgun at a door at the school.  No one was injured.

Investigators released surveillance video from the school parking lot of two vehicles driving through the lot around the time of the shooting.

One of the vehicles is an SUV and the other is a light-colored car.

Police say that although the two vehicles are in the distance, they hope someone will recognize them.

Officers are investigating to see if the overnight incident is connected to another reported shot being fired at a different school in the area Thursday afternoon.

Trail Wind Elementary School and nearby Les Bois were both placed on lockdown while police searched the area.

Anyone with information is urged to call Crime Stoppers at 343-COPS.
