Police investigating sexual assault report near BSU

BOISE, Idaho (KBOI) - Boise Police are investigating a report of a sexual assault near Boise State University's campus late Sunday night.

Police say a woman told them she was walking south of University Drive near Manitou Street between 11:00 p.m. and midnight when a man attacked and sexually assaulted her.

The woman told police the man is light skinned, in his early 20s, with short dark hair and "scruffy" facial hair, and he was wearing dark clothing.

Detectives say they believe the suspect may have been startled and run off during the attack.

Anyone who saw anything suspicious in the area Sunday night is asked to call Crime Stoppers at 343-COPS.
