Boise Rescue Mission still needs hundreds of turkeys for Thanksgiving
BOISE, Idaho - The Boise Rescue Mission says it needs 300 more turkeys to pack into food boxes to help needy families celebrate Thanksgiving.

The mission's executive director says 700 more people have already signed up for the holiday care packages this year compared to last year.

"We're right on the brink of meeting the need for Thanksgiving," said Bill Roscoe, the Boise Rescue Mission Executive Director. "We'll keep pushing hard to get Christmas met."

The mission also needs 2000 more turkeys for Christmas. People can drop off fresh or frozen birds at any of the mission locations in the Treasure Valley. The mission is asking for 12-18 pound turkeys.
