HAILEY, Idaho (KBOI) - Bowe Bergdahl's friends say that Bowe is not only into kayaking and fencing, he also knows ballet. His former ballet teacher says that not only did she teach him about being a ballet dancer but they became great friends as well.

"Hallmark doesn't make a card for this one. Sorry your roommate and best friend got captured by the Taliban." Sherry Horton said. Sherry Horton says friends called her to tell her that her best friend, Bowe Bergdahl was free. Her first call was to his parents to see if it was true. "I phoned his parents and they answered and Jani was just crying, ecstatic the only thing she could really get out was it's true, it's true, it's true," Horton said.

Sherry's known Bowe since they met at her ballet studio when he started classes. "He came in to class and before I knew it he was in class every single day and he danced with me forever. There came a time in both of our lives that I needed a roommate and he needed a place to live and we been roommates since he was about 18."

Horton says they were roommates for about four years until Bowe joined the military. She says she has a lot of catching up to do with Bowe and one thing she is anxious to tell him is that she is the owner of a new wine bar in Hailey called di Vine.
