CALDWELL, Idaho (KBOI) - Eight people have been charged after a prostitution sting in Caldwell by local authorities.
Caldwell Police says detectives conducted an undercover sting operation at a local hotel. Officials say the operation was targeting organized prostitution rings who were using public websites to solicit sex.
All arrests were made without incident.
"They kind of fly under the radar, come into town for a couple of days, do this work and then they are right back out of town before anybody really knows what's going on," said Sgt. Joey Hoadley of the Caldwell Police Department. "It's a dangerous profession obviously if there are drugs coming along and pimps out in the parking lot."
In November, KBOI-TV's Tami Tremblay investigated the Boise Board website and talked with a local woman who moonlights as a prostitute to help make a living.
The following suspects busted in the sting, according to police.
Natasha Porter, 22, Nampa - prostitution, driving without privileges, felony probation violation.
Steven Lovette, 23, Boise - accepting earnings of a prostitute, possession of a controlled substance, possession of paraphernalia, driving without privileges, open container.
Maria Barroso, 27, Boise - prostitution.
Tranice Sanders, 20, Sacramento, Calif., - prostitution
Violet Jones, 24, Spokane, prostitution, possession of drug paraphernalia
Sally Collier, 47, Middleton, prostitution, carrying a concealed weapon.
Michelle Sizemore, 51, prostitution, carrying concealed weapon, possession of drug paraphernalia, unlawful possession of prescription drug.
Terro Bell, 42, Pasco, Wash., - possession of controlled substance.
