Man, 71, dies after moving truck pinned him against curb

CALDWELL, Idaho (KBOI) - A 71-year-old man fixing an old truck on the side of the road died Wednesday after the vehicle pinned him against a curb, Idaho State Police says.
ISP says Roy Welsh, 71, of Caldwell was parked westbound on Homedale Road hooking up a jump box in an attempt to get his truck started.
The vehicle, a 1979 Dodge Ram Charger, started while in gear, moved forward and ended up pinning Welsh against the curb.
Welsh's vehicle then proceeded to travel across the grass in front of Vallivue High School and came to rest in front of the school, after striking a cedar tree.
Welsh died at the scene.
