Caldwell man killed in early morning crash

CALDWELL, Idaho (KBOI) -- A 45-year-old Caldwell man was killed after an early morning crash Tuesday morning.

Idaho State Police says Robert Penner was driving north when he drifted off the right side of the road at about 1 a.m. and hit a concrete retaining wall and another vehicle, which was unoccupied.

Penner was taken to West Valley Medical Center in Caldwell where he later died. He was not wearing a seat belt. ISP is continuing to investigate.
