BOISE, Idaho (KBOI) -- The Ada County Coroner now says a woman found dead in a Boise are canal last week did not drown as previously reported.
Last week, Erin Sonnenberg, said Alexis Palmer likely died of an accidental drowning, but after an autopsy, he says it's clear that did not happen.
"She probably had died before the canal had filled up with water," Sonnenberg told KBOI 2News.
Sonnenberg will now have to wait several weeks before toxicology reports come back on the 40-year-old Boise resident.
"We're kind of in a holding pattern," he said.
Boise PD said last week that a canal worker found Palmer's body.
