Costumes ski free at Bogus' end-of-year 'Mish Mash' bash

SHAFER BUTTE, Idaho -- Bogus Basin is ending the 2012-13 ski season with a bash, by hosting the "Holiday Mish Mash" next Sunday.

Bogus resort officials said that anyone dressed in a holiday costume (including halloween costumes) will ski for free on Easter. Those dressed as the Easter Bunny get the added bonus of a free hot cocoa.

The event also features outdoor music performances and scavenger hunts on the slopes for both adults and kids

While the "Holiday Mish Mash" is the closing party for the season, resort managers said they will also stay open for a "Guest Appreciation Weekend" April 6 and 7 if conditions allow.

Deer Point (#1), Superior (#3), Coach (#7), Easy Rider Carpet will operate from 9:00am – 4:30pm over the weekend. Morning Star (#2) will operate for access to the Pioneer Lodge from the base area. The JR Simplot lodge will be open for food/beverage service and rental equipment and lessons are available. The Frontier Point Lodge (Nordic Center) will be open from 9:00am – 4:30pm. The Pioneer Lodge will be available for locker and restroom access only and the Pepsi GoldRush Tubing hill is closed for the season.

The sales office on Bogus Basin road still offers a discounted 2013-14 season pass before the prices increase April 1st.
