BOISE, Idaho (KBOI) - Ada County Sheriff's Deputies say they have cited the driver of a vehicle that witnesses say caused a two-car crash Monday afternoon on State Street.

Deputies say two people were taken to the hospital after the crash involving two vehicles in the westbound lanes of State between Bogart and Roe.

The sheriff's office says witnesses identified a third vehicle they said caused the crash, but wasn't damaged, and then drove away.

Deputies found the vehicle later Monday evening and interviewed the driver.

The sheriff's office says he was cited for unsafe lane change and expired registration, but that there is no evidence that he was aware of the collision behind him or that he intentionally fled a crash scene.

The drivers of the other two cars suffered moderate injuries but are expected to be OK.
