EAGLE, Idaho (KBOI)  -- Eagle Police are looking for the driver of a red SUV who drove into the back of a school bus on Linder Road and then took off.

The Ada County Sheriff's Office says one student was on the bus but was not injured when the SUV hit it near Linder Road and West Sagurio Street in Eagle at about 9 a.m. The back of the school bus was damaged and police say the SUV (possibly a Chevy Tahoe) likely has a damaged front end.

North Star Charter School's principal witnessed the incident. The principal reportedly saw the vehicle go under the school bus, wait a couple of seconds and then take off.

Eagle police are checking in on anyone in the area who is registered to have a red Chevy Tahoe.

They're also urging the public to keep an eye out for a red Tahoe with front end damage.

Anyone with information is asked to call 377-6790.
