EAGLE, Idaho (KBOI) - Five people were taken to the hospital Thursday morning after a near T-Bone crash on State Street.

Police say a woman driving a white Dodge Caravan was turning on State Street from Parkinson when a man driving a Volkswagen Passat smacked into the van causing a 5 year old girl to be thrown from the van. She was taken to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

The other passengers in the van, one 35 year-old woman and two boys, aged 13 and 3, as well as the driver of the Volkswagen, a 21 year old man, were also taken to the hospital with non life-threatening injuries.

State street was shut down for over three hours while Ada county sheriff's deputies assessed the scene of the crash. An investigation is underway, but no one has been charged or faulted with causing the accident yet.
