EAGLE, Idaho (KBOI) -- An Eagle man has been arrested after he tried to run from police -- and ended up taking a dip in a local pond, Ada County Sheriff officials say.

The sheriff's office says the man, spotted in the above photo, was sought by deputies on a probation violation. The sheriff's office says 21-year-old Nathan McCoy went running through the neighborhoods for about a mile.

McCoy is on probation for a stalking case from earlier this year, deputies say, that was resolved when he pleaded guilty to a misdemeanor charge of using a telephone to intimidate or harass.

After about 15 minutes of the foot pursuit, McCoy decided to go into the pond, which is near the fifth hole. The sheriff's office says one ball was hit into the pond during the incident.

He's now been charged with resisting arrest and on top of the probation violation.
