BOISE, Idaho (KBOI) - Eagle Police say a 50-year-old Eagle man has been arrested for DUI after he crashed his pickup truck into trees near a school bus stop Wednesday afternoon.

Police say Kent Freitag crashed at the intersection of East Trailside and East Island Woods drives in Eagle just before 4 p.m.

Officials say school buses were scheduled to drop kids off in the area about 20 minutes after the crash occurred.

Officers say a witness called 911 and said they saw a man jump out of the truck and run away.

Police say the caller was able to tell them where Freitag ran to, and they were able to arrest him.

Officials say Freitag registered a .18 blood alcohol content. The legal limit in Idaho is .08.
