Fisherman pulled from Boise River after nearly an hour dies

BOISE, Idaho (KBOI) - A fisherman who witnesses say fell into the Boise River early Saturday morning has died, according to Boise Police.

The man reportedly fell into the river just after 7 a.m. Saturday at the Parkcenter Bridge. The Boise Fire Dive Team and Boise Police were able to locate the man and pull him out of the water downstream at the take out area at Ann Morrison Park.

Rescuers believe the man was in the water, which is still very cold, for approximately 50 minutes.

The 32-year-old man from Boise was found unresponsive and was taken to the hospital where he died.

Police are considering this a tragic accident.
