Dogs saved in two alarm house fire
EAGLE, Idaho - Firefighters and neighbors helped rescue several dogs from a 2 alarm fire Saturday night that started in a home off of Hempstead Drive in Eagle.

Emergency crews arrived to the home in the 1000 block of Hempstead Dr. to find flames coming from the roof of a house.

Neighbors helped release some dogs from their kennels outside, while fire fighters rescued three more dogs inside the home.

Firefighters knocked down the flames quickly and kept the fire contained to one side of the home; the same side where the fire originated. Officials said it spread from the 1st floor all the way up to parts of the attic, and down into the basement.

Investigators are still looking into the cause. They said that one was home when the fire started.

Fire officials are still trying to calculate how much damage was done to the home.
