Sleeping woman injured in drive-by shooting in Garden City

GARDEN CITY, Idaho (KBOI) - A 37-year-old Garden City woman sustained two gunshot wounds while she was sleeping in a drive by shooting early Friday morning.

Garden City PD says someone went to a trailer court near 207 East 44th Street and shot at the trailer. The woman was later transported to St. Alphonsus Hospital where she underwent surgery for non-life threatening injuries.

Police say a witness spotted a white extended cab pickup speed away from the scene. Detectives are still on scene processing evidence.

It's been a busy week for Garden City Police. Earlier in the week, officials discovered a body underneath a house while investigating a missing person's report.
