BOISE, Idaho (KBOI) - Highway 55 has re-opened Saturday night after being closed for two days because of a mudslide.

The highway is now open to both lanes of traffic, but drivers should use caution when driving through the area while crews continue clearing the road. There will be flaggers in the area.

The area between Garden Valley Road and Smith's Ferry Drive was closed because soil and debris washed onto the highway after heavy rain fell in the area Thursday.

According to the Idaho Transportation Department, the mudslide was in the area of the recent Zimmer Creek Fire.
