BOISE, Idaho (KBOI) -- Idaho's federal court will hear arguments on a lawsuit challenging the state's same-sex marriage ban.

Four same-sex Idaho couples are asking the state to strike down Idaho's ban on same-sex marriage. The couples are also suing to force Idaho to recognize legal same-sex marriages performed in other states.

The arguments begin on Monday morning.

The couples are Susan Latta and Traci Ehlers, and Lori and Sharene Watsen, who are legally married and want their marriages recognized; and Shelia Robertson and Andrea Altmayer, and Amber Beierle and Rachael Robertson, who all seek to marry.

The couples are represented by Boise attorneys Deborah A. Ferguson and Craig Durham and the National Center for Lesbian Rights
