One dead in traffic crash on Interstate 84 near Nampa
NAMPA, Idaho (KBOI) - Idaho State Police is investigating a deadly crash on Interstate 84 in Nampa.

ISP says three vehicles were involved.

It happened around 6:30 p.m. at milepost 37.

ISP says Johnny Robinson, 51, of Nampa, lost control of his car and slid sideways into the lanes of travel. Paul Simcox, 39, of Wilder was also traveling in the area and hit Robinson's vehicle, pushing it into the median.

Simcox's vehicle continued westbound striking a vehicle from a prior crash in the area before coming to a stop.

Police say Robinson's passenger, Imogene Robinson, 73, of Nampa, died at the scene.

Multiple crashes have been reported throughout the Treasure Valley Christmas evening. Officials had to shut down westbound I-84 near Meridian Road for a time because of multiple crashes.
