Intermountain Ski Council invites new members

BOISE, Idaho (KBOI) - Powder hounds are getting a jump start on the upcoming ski and snowboard season this week.

Greenwoods Ski Haus hosted an open house Tuesday night with the Intermountain Ski Council.

The council is made up of nine ski clubs from South Dakota, Wyoming, Colorado, Utah and Idaho.

Council members say club membership enhances the ski experience.

"It's the comradery," said Michael Bouton, president of the Intermountain Ski Council. "It's the group, and it's the idea of getting out and enjoying this wonderful sport with someone else."

Membership is open to everyone.

The upcoming trip to Grand Targhee is February 21-24.
