Parma couple killed in Oregon crash, 13-year-old daughter survives

VALE, Ore., (KBOI) -- A Parma couple was killed in a weekend crash near Vale, Oregon State Police said Monday.

Oregon State Police says a 72-year-old Ontario resident pulled onto Highway 20 and was accelerating when his farm truck was struck in the rear by a vehicle with two adults and a girl. OSP says the vehicle's driver, John Hendricks, 56, did not brake before hitting the farm truck.

OSP says the 56-year-old and his wife, Angela, 52, both died at the scene. Their 13-year-old daughter was treated and released at a hospital on Ontario. The 72-year-old was also treated and released.

Troopers are continuing to investigate. The highway was closed for about four hours.
