CALDWELL, Idaho (KBOI) -- A 28-year old man has pleaded guilty to shooting two Canyon County sheriff's deputies a year ago.
The Canyon County Prosecutor's Office said Kyle Alan Batt pleaded guilty to two counts of aggravated battery on a law enforcement officer.
Officials say Canyon County sheriff deputies were attempting to find Batt at a home on the 24000 block of Sheryl Lane, west of Caldwell, who was wanted in connection to an earlier gun-related crime. When deputies arrived, police say, he fired multiple shots at deputies.
Two deputies, Michael Roth and Brad Childers, were wounded and one deputy was able to return fire at Batt, who ran away from officers.
In exchange for the guilty plea, Batt won't face sentencing enhancements for actually inflicting great bodily harm.
He's scheduled to be sentenced Dec. 13.
