Man beaten with baseball bat during fight

GARDEN CITY, Idaho. -- A man was attacked by three people and beaten with a baseball bat early Sunday morning near the intersection of N Roe and State Streets, police officials said.

The man was taken to Saint Alphonsus Regional Medical Center where he was treated for non-life threatening injuries.

A witness told police that the 48-year-old victim got into a physical confrontation with the three men. During the fight the men hit the victim several times with a baseball bat, police said.

The suspects had fled by the time officers responded to the scene.

Police said that the suspects were all in their late 20's. Two were Hispanic, around 5'7" tall. The third man was a dark complected man around 6' tall.
