Nampa High student finds handgun magazines near school

NAMPA, Idaho (KBOI) -- A student walking to Nampa High School found two handgun magazines next to a local business.

Nampa PD said that on Tuesday the student saw two people leaving a walled area near the dumpsters. He apparently went to see what the people were up to and found the handgun magazines.

The student called his mother, who then notified NPD.

Detectives are investigating to see if the magazines were involved in any crimes and are being fingerprinted. The rounds are .45 caliber believed to be from a 1911 Colt.

School was not affected.
