Nampa PD looking for man with handgun who robbed store

NAMPA, Idaho (KBOI) -- Nampa PD is looking for the person who robbed a retail store with a handgun on Thursday.

Police say the suspect entered the beverage/tobacco store on 11th Avenue at about 7 p.m. and demanded money. He then fled the store on foot, but hasn't been seen since.

The suspect was described as possibly a younger white male, thin build, 5'2" to 5'4", wearing jeans, and a black and white checkered zip up hoodie style jacket, with something dark covering his face.  An independent witness later identified the suspect as being somewhat taller than originally described.

Anyone with information regarding the identity of the suspect or the crime itself is encouraged to call the Nampa Police Department, 468-2257 or 343-COPS.
