Nampa School District
Voters in Canyon County head to the polls today to decide whether to bail out a $4 million budget mistake at the Nampa School District.
If the levy passes it will allow the district to refinance bonds and use the savings to fill the budget gap. District officials say if it fails it could mean teacher layoffs, hits to after school programs, and even entire schools closing.
The Middleton School District is looking for a $2.5 million levy that's spread out over 10 years. The money would be used toward financing the costs of acquiring, purchasing, or improving a school site or sites; demolishing or moving school buildings; building maintenance, operations, and the ability to purchase school buses. | Sample Ballot
Horseshoe Bend's levy is $600,000 over two years. The money would be used to operate current programs. | Sample Ballot
Payette School District
The Payette School District is asking residents to OK a $695,000, two-year levy.
