Nampa man killed after 50,000 pound steel beam falls on him

BOISE, Idaho (KBOI) - A 53-year-old Nampa man was killed Wednesday morning in an industrial accident at a Caldwell steel manufacturing company.

The Canyon County Sheriff's Office says Roy Frasier was moving a 50,000 pound steel beam with a forklift when the beam fell and trapped him underneath it.

The sheriff's office says other employees rushed to his aid and were able to move the beam, but it was too late.

The Idaho Industrial Commission and OSHA are investigating.
