GRANGEVILLE, Idaho (AP) - A court trial for an 11-year-old northern Idaho boy who police say fired five rounds from a .22-caliber revolver toward a girl is scheduled to start Tuesday.
The Lewiston Tribune reports that the Kooskia boy is accused of aggravated assault with a deadly weapon.
Police say the boy on Oct. 3 arrived at a place near Kooskia where youngsters gathered and produced the weapon.
Police say he then fired the rounds, some at the feet of a girl, who ran home.
The boy has been released into the custody of his mother but is restricted to home or school and must not possess firearms. There also must not be weapons in the home where the boy is staying.
