ONTARIO, Oregon (KBOI) - A 33-year-old man wanted for his alleged involvement in a shooting of a 4-year-old boy last weekend has turned himself into police.
Ontario Police say Jose Moreno-Alvarez fled the scene after the incident and law enforcement had been searching for him since. It appears Moreno-Alvarez remained in the area.
Moreno-Alvarez was interviewed and taken to the Malheur County Jail without incident, awaiting arraignment, police say.
The bullet hit the 4-year-old's arm, and he was taken to the hospital. He has since been released. Moreno-Alvarez has been booked on felony assault.
