BOISE, Idaho (KBOI) - Fire crews for the Vale, Oregon Bureau of Land Management fighting a large grass fire burning near the Idaho-Oregon border.

Vale BLM say the fire near the Owyhee Dam is estimated to be at least 25,000 acres and was caused by lightning.

No structures are threatened at this point, but officials say campers along the Owyhee River had to be moved. More evacuations are possible if the fire gets out of control.

BLM officials say the windy conditions are fueling the fire, however, and it is still growing.

Temperatures in the area are expected to be about 100 degrees Tuesday.

BLM also told KBOI 2News there's three additional fires near Burns Junction. The acre total for those fires are estimated to be in the 14-20,000 acre range.
