Police investigate origin of bones in Idaho garden

IDAHO FALLS, Idaho (AP) - Police investigators are trying to determine if bones found in an eastern Idaho yard are from a human or an animal.

The Post Register reports Idaho Falls resident Jim Jarvie found two bone fragments on Saturday - shortly after finding pieces of duct tape, rope and what looked like a woman's nylon sock.

Idaho Falls Police Sgt. Phil Grimes said he didn't know how long it would take to determine whether the bones are human. In the meantime, Jarvie has been told not to dig in his garden.

Jarvie, who is a nurse, says the discovery was creepy and he hopes the bones are not from a person.
