Power outage restored after causing problems in Nampa
NAMPA, Idaho (KBOI) - Idaho Power reported this morning about 4,500 people in the Nampa experienced a power outage.

It affected everything from Happy Valley Road to Karcher Road, and even Garrity Boulevard for about three hours.

Birch Elementary School in Nampa had originally closed school for the day due to the outage, but the principal says it's now changed to a delay until 9:15 a.m.

Also the College of Western Idaho Nampa Campus Academic Building, Aspen Creek Classroom Building, and administrative offices are closed this morning until 10 a.m. Classes scheduled at all other locations including the Micron Center for Professional Technical Education will run as scheduled.
