Reward offered for info in Rexburg bank robbery

REXBURG, Idaho (AP) — The FBI and Rexburg police are asking the public's help in identifying a man who robbed the East Idaho Credit Union after threatening employees and customers with what may have been an assault rifle and locking them in a safe.

The credit union was robbed at about 4:30 p.m. Wednesday. The suspect was described as being 5 feet, 10 inches tall and weighing about 225 pounds. He was wearing a mask, black gloves, a black coat with a hood and baggy Levi jeans.

Witnesses say he drove off in a dark blue sedan with tinted windows and a red and blue license plate.

Employees were able to trigger an alarm.

The FBI is offering a reward of up to $20,000 for information that leads to a conviction in the case.
