NAMPA, Idaho (KBOI) --- The Canyon County Coroner's Office says a 36-year-old Nampa woman found dead in a corn field last week died of blunt force trauma to the head.
Selena Thomas, who was reported missing earlier this month, was killed by her boyfriend with a hammer, stuffed into a trunk and then buried in a cornfield with the help of three other men, according to Nampa Police.
Detectives and the prosecutor’s office are reviewing the evidence and will decide what charges to file. As it stands, her boyfriend, Alfredo Martinez, 39, has not been charged with a crime related to Thomas.
He's being held on an unrelated parole violation.
Prosecutors, however, charged three other people with crimes, including aiding and abetting murder and failure to notify authorities of a death. Officials identified the suspects as Jose Cruz Flores, Daniel Francisco Sena and Luis Garcia.
