BOISE, Idaho (KBOI) - The Idaho Foundation of Parks and Recreation has purchased 12 acres of prime real estate -- and it's just so happens to be right next door to the Idaho Shakespeare Festival.
On Wednesday, the foundation says it purchased the land and will hold a media conference about the acquisition on Friday.
The 12 acres became hot property after a developer planned to build 43 homes in the area. The closest residence would be just 620 feet from the stage.
The foundation did not say what its plans are for the property.
