BOISE, Idaho (KBOI) - Police say a man ran straight into heavy traffic and was hit by truck. He's now in the hospital with life-threatening injuries.
Police say witnesses are telling them the man darted across Fairview near Cloverdale Road Tuesday morning, and while several cars were able to avoid him, a green pickup wasn't able to swerve enough to miss him.
Several drivers stopped to call police and help the man who was hit.
Boise police say all of the witnesses they talked to told the same story, that the man dashed out in front of traffic. But detectives believe several other people saw what happened and drove on without stopping. BPD asks that those people call police and give their account as well to help with the investigation.
"Different people can see different things," said Boise Police Spokeswoman Lynn Hightower. "So it is important that if someone witnessed this young man running into the road, in the road, or even witnessed the collision and hasn't spoken with officers, officers are hoping to speak with those people."
