BOISE, Idaho (KBOI) -- The war may be winding down, but the sacrifices continue to mount.

And on this 9/11 anniversary, four more names were added to the Idaho Fallen Soldier Memorial at the old Ada County Courthouse in Boise.

Idahoans Mitchell Daehling, Octavio Herrera, Thomas Murach and Shane Wilson all lost their lives in the last year.

"We're doing OK. We have our ups and downs," said Sergio Herrera, brother of SSG Herrera, of Caldwell, who was was killed a month ago in Afghanistan. "Today's a good day, but it's also a sad day."

Mike Fisette, PFC Wilson's grandfather, said: "It was a challenge just to let him go, and stand behind him. But that's what he wanted to do. And we stood behind him."

PFC Wilson, of Kuna, was killed last fall in Afghanistan.

On this 12th anniversary of 9/11, the hope is no more names will be added 66 names now engraved on the Fallen Soldier memorial.

But after a dozen years of war, it is a hope tempered by reality.
