Photo of police officers buying groceries for needy family goes viral

VICTORIA, TEXAS (WBFF) -- Texas police Senior Officer Bryan Knief and Cadet Officer Anthony Vacarro were on duty last weekend when they were called out to a Victoria home. The officers noticed the family had no food. They decided to take action, and drove to a local Walmart.

As they were in line to pay for a full cart of groceries, they were stopped by a local, curious about what they were doing. Thinking it was odd that the officers were grocery shopping in full uniform, Rebecca Vasquez asked what was going on.

"They actually told me that they were going to be donating the entire basket to a family in need," Vasquez said. "I just thought it was awesome." Vasquez took a photo and posted it on Facebook. The photo is going viral as people across the country are praising the men for their actions.

"Of course they didn't do anything like this to get recognized or to be seen," Vasquez said. "I just happened to ask them if it was OK if I put their picture up and now people know that there's good people in Victoria.
