Apple has recalled some iPhone 5 models for issues with the battery.
According to Apple, "a very small percentage of iPhone 5 devices may suddenly experience shorter battery life or need to be charged more frequently."
The affected models were sold between September 2012 and January 2013. If your iPhone 5 has experienced the symptoms of shorter battery life, you can CLICK HERE to enter your phone's serial number to see if it is eligible for the recall program. For affected models, Apple will replace the iPhone 5 battery, free of charge.
If your iPhone 5 is one of the affected models, Apple notes that any other damage (such as a cracked screen) will need to be resolved before it can receive a battery replacement. To find your phone's serial number, Tap Settings > General > About to view your serial number.
