College of Idaho is bringing back the coyote

The College of Idaho announced a new logo Tuesday, bringing the identity of the coyote back into prominance.
“For years, we have been all over the place when it comes to a Yote logo,” College of Idaho athletic director Marty Holly said in a press release. “The new logo is one that our athletic brand can really build on. Mascots are supposed to be fun, and this one is a home run.”
The official unveiling and kickoff will come September 2 during the "C of I Coyote Celebration" on campus at 4:30 p.m. The school's Coyote mascot will debut a new look at that celebration that's "a big upgrade," according to one athletics staff member.
The new logo is a coloraborative effort between C of I students and the school's Office of Marketing and Communication. The base design was done by Boise's W Design.
