I don't know about you, but in my life: yesterday was August. This football season flew by, and covering Boise State football was as interesting as ever.
A senior class anxious to make a name for itself, an unproven quarterback who shut doubters up for good in November and another trip to Las Vegas after coming oh-so-close to a third B.C.S berth.
Watch the video for 2:00 of the best Bronco football highlights from the 2012 season.
Notables:
*2012 seniors won four bowl games (school record)
*Three straight Vegas Bowl wins (bowl record)
*seven consecutive ten-win seasons (longest streak in country)
*Joe Southwick completed 66.9% of his passes (5th-best in BSU history)
*Seven first-half shutouts, five consecutive (both school records)
*Four passing touchdowns allowed (national #1)
*At least four top-ten national finishes in defensive statistics: Scoring defense, total defense, red zone defense & turnover margin (bowl results incomplete)

Good report Troy. For having a "down year" I was impressed by the team . Although I did get frustrated at times watching games I have to say I expected to be alot more frustrated. This team showed character in particular Joe Southwick. He was beat up way too much by the arm-chair coaches and by .......wel let's just call em what they are, morons. Those who can't, critisise. He was in a 'No win' situation and rose above the critisism and led this re-building team to an 11 win season. Not too bad. The future looks bright and if the younger players continue to develope this could be a fun and very competitive team next year. GO BRONCOS! Now, get out there and support the basketball team too.Â
This was the close to the DJ Harper era. A great career and great season!
