IHSAA votes to deny cutting events but may revisit proposal
The Idaho High School Athletic Association had a lot to talk about Wednesday. The Board met to vote on a proposal of cutting all events by 10 percent to help activities keep budgets down.

The measure was denied, but was also added to the next discussion agenda. IHSAA Director John Billetz says the next month will give them a better idea of how budgets for education state wide will be affected. Plus all the principles involved can better figure out how the cuts will actually be made if need be.

Another proposal is to create a two year moratorium on all new activities did pass. Meaning new sports, or other extra curricular activities hoping to be certified by the Board will have to wait.
