SAN DIEGO - The San Diego Chargers have released former Boise State wide receiver Jeremy Childs.
Childs had signed a free agent contract with the Chargers right after the 2009 NFL Draft (see related content) and participated in several rookie mini-camp workouts.
His release means he won't be invited to fall camp and that he does not have a shot at making the Charger's practice squad.
Childs was released Friday, Chargers operations staff confirmed. Calls and text messages to Childs and his agent were not immediately returned.
